David Scherer is the Scholarly Communications and Research Curation Consultant with the University Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University. David develops and oversees the sustainable programmatic scholarly communication and research curation solutions, services, and workflows through supporting interoperable infrastructure of the scholarly communication ecosystem at CMU to support the evolving scholarly record. David is the co-founder of the CMU Library Publishing Service and serves as the Operational Lead for the CMU Elements Research Information Management (RIM) Initiative. Professionally, David is Program Committee Member of the Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) and will serve as a local area co-host for the 2022 Library Publishing Forum in Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, David is an editor overseeing the English 04 Editorial Group for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and serves as the DOAJ Liaison for the Library Publishing Coalition community.
